Lane S. Palmer, MD
The Sol and Margaret Berger Department of Urology at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan, New York City, has added Lane S. Palmer, MD, a board certified pediatric urologist to its staff, offering pediatricians expert pediatric urological care for their patients presenting with congenital or non-congenital genitourinary tract conditions. Dr. Palmer’s primary clinical interest is minimally invasive reconstructive surgery of the genitourinary tract in children and adolescents.
Comprehensive pediatric urology services include:
- Surgical reconstruction of the urinary tract (kidneys, ureters, and bladder)
- Genital abnormalities, such as hypospadias
- Undescended testicle(s)
- Hydrocele/hernia
- Varicoceles
- Evaluation and management of prenatal urologic anomalies
Dr. Palmer is board certified in urology and pediatric urology, and currently serves as the principal investigator for many industry-sponsored studies. He has made numerous international, national and regional presentations, and has contributed more than 100 articles, book chapters and commentaries to medical literature. Dr. Palmer is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Urological Association, the Society for Fetal Urology, the Society for Pediatric Urology, as well as several national committees. He is a reviewer for every major urologic journal and presently sits on the editorial board of Urology, AAP Grand Rounds and Dialogues in Pediatric Urology.
