Milton Waner, MD,an internationally recognized expert and
pioneer in the treatment of hemangiomas and vascular malformations, is Co-Director
of the Vascular Birthmark Institute of New York (VBINY) at Roosevelt Hospital
and Beth Israel Medical Center.
Dr. Waner and his colleague Dr. Alejandro Berenstein, a renowned endovascular
surgeon at the Institute for Neurology and Neurosurgery (INN) and co-director
of the VBINY, work closely together to provide the most advanced treatment
options for birthmarks, including port-wine stains, hemangiomas and

Over the past 20 years, Dr. Waner has treated thousands of patients with
these types of disorders.
He was previously Director of the Vascular Anomalies Center at Arkansas Children’s
Hospital and was a professor of otolaryngology and plastic surgery at the
University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He earned his medical degree
in his native South Africa at the world-renowned University of Witwatersrand
Medical School, where he also completed his residency in otolaryngology.
