Summary:
The collective participation of many individuals and families with severe obesity will enable physicians and scientists to gain a better understanding of the genetic causes of these diseases, and ultimately to find better ways of treating (and preventing) these problems.
Criteria for Participation:
Individuals of all ages who are severely overweight (usually more than 300 lbs) are eligible for this study. It entails one brief clinic visit in which you would discuss and sign an informed consent & review your family and medical history. Next you would have your measurements - weight and height and blood drawn.
Benefits and/or Compensation
Each partipant receives $25 compensation.
